Microsoft responds to Microsoft-Sony domain registrations

A Microsoft employee has come out in the open and specified the reason for the company registering two domains names Sony Microsoft.com and Microsoft Sony.com.

Frank X. Shaw confirmed that this was just a defensive move in order to ensure that no third party can wrongfully purchase the said domains and misuse them. It has nothing to do with a possible partnership between the two giants.
