Wolfenstein®: The Old Blood is a standalone prequel to the critically acclaimed first-person action-adventure shooter, Wolfenstein®: The New Order. The adventure, which spans eight chapters and two interconnected stories, features the hallmarks of MachineGames – thrilling action, immersive story and intense first-person combat. As war hero B.J. Blazkowicz, arm yourself with new weapons such as the bolt-action rifle and grenade-launching Kampfpistole as you attempt to thwart the advancing Nazi war machine, and take advantage of duel-wielding pipes that can be used for wall climbing – or for vicious take-downs of never-before-seen Nazi adversaries.


STORY
The year is 1946 and the Nazis are on the brink of winning World War II. In an effort to turn the tide in the allies’ favor, B.J. Blazkowicz must embark on an epic, two-part mission deep within Bavaria….

Part one of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood - Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves - pits BJ Blazkowicz against a maniacal prison warden as he breaks into Castle Wolfenstein in an attempt to steal the coordinates to General Deathshead’s compound. In part two – The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs – our hero's search for the coordinates leads him to the city of Wulfburg where an obsessed Nazi archaeologist is exhuming mysterious artifacts that threaten to unleash a dark and ancient power.

por um lado curti as screenshots q a galera ta postando, ate vi coisas demais acho

mas vo esperar o preço cair e corrigirem uns bugs... usa a mesma engine do rage, parece, e deve ter herdado os bugs iniciais do mesmo.

E o lance do Doom 4 hein!? Perigo até de não ser lançado... tenso!

aos donos de vga AMD, o jogo pede q usemos o driver 14.4 ao menos.

eu tinha, mas dava aviso de q nao era e o jogo nao entrava.

desinstalei o driver, instalei o beta RC 14.6 e dai o jogo entrou sussa.

mas ô jogo pesadinho. nada a ver com a leveza do Rage, da mesma engine. preferi desabilitar as opcoes mais esdrúxulas, e o jogo ficou mais suave.

joguei pouco, mas a narrativa é muito caprichada. depois avalio melhor

feros, animei muito com o jogo

o preludio do jogo é em 1946 com voce chegando de aviao, rola altos combate. daí cai na praia, e vc começa a invadir uma fortaleza nazi enquanto tem um puta robozao fudendo com tudo na praia.

rola uma pá de tiroteio, coisera, voce e seus amigos acabam caindo num laboratório. nele, voce acaba tendo q fazer uma escolha moral, que vai influenciar o resto do jogo.

o personagem sofre um acidente grave na cabeça, blazkovitz fica quase invalido se recuperando e passam-se 14 anos, quando jogo volta á ação.


pena q tive q viajar no fds, senao eu ja tava comendo o cu dos nazi.

e esse lance de escolha ja garante umas 2 partidas facil.

to jogando no UBER (mais foda da galacsia de difisio) entao a coisa vai se estender.

o jogo ocupa espaço pq tem uma pancada de videos durante o jogo e nas fases mesmo.

fui testando várias configuraçoes pra ver qual ficava melhor em casa, rodar no ultra aqui nao rola de maneira legal. entao, dependendo da foto, ta uma config diferente.

Alright, I've spent quite some time tweaking the settings in console, and soon came to the conclusion, that most fixes, that are in the web right are efficient in RAGE only, but not in WTNO, so I've decided to make my own list of settings, that have proved to work on my rig (Intel+Nvidia, 6 yo). So, here we go.

Vsync. By default the game uses adaptive vsync, which means you don't get tearing above 60 fps, but lots of it below 60 fps. The engine is supposed to work at 60 as well, so I understand that decision, but as the game has a lot of heavy scenes, constant high fps is not achievable on many pc's, and you'll get tearing anyway. The solutions to constant vsync are:
1. Force Vsync via videocard drivers. It'll work that way, but you have to make sure, that Triple Buffreing is turned off.
2. Type r_swapInterval 1 in console ingame (Ctrl+~). This also forces always-on vsync and won't require you to reset the value, unless you've decided to change graphical settings from game menu.
The only problem with such vsync would be that you'll get 30 fps every time you videocard can't provide 60 or more. If it is problematic to you, the third solution is
3. Play with Vsync disabled in windowed mode. Windows Aero in Vista/7/8 has built in vsync, so you'll get no tearing with no input lag and high fps, but you'll see window borders and windows taskbar. For some people is could be the optimal solution, for the others make sure you'll have high fps if you decide to use vsync.

AA. By default the game provides no AA options, but uses heavy blur and DoF postprocessing, so it's not very noticeable. Forcing MSSAA from drivers or shortcut options won't work aswell, however the game supports all sorts of AA. Your options are:
1. Force FXAA from viderocard drivers. I think it is the most prefferable option. It will blur your UI a bit, but it has no performance impact, doesn't use more video RAM, which is important, and is easy to set. The downside is that FXAA won't affect slightly blurred lines, but again, it's already not much noticeable.
2. Force MSAA from json config file. In WTNO MSAA is performance-heavy, doesn't work well with DoF and has some problems working with shadows and screen-space reflections. However, it will a higher quality mode, than FXAA. The best way to force MSAA is to edit this file "Wolfenstein.The.New.Order\base\graphicsprofiles.json". There you will find a fragment

Change of the settings (like high or ultra) to your MSAA value (4, 8 or whatever). Then choose this overall setting in-game, press "Apply", change other settings and you'll have your MSAA every time you open the game.

AF. It's the hardest one. idTech 5 doesn't support AF higher than 4X and you shouldn't try to force higher values, for they can cause several glitches. AF 4X is high enough on its own, but games like RAGE and WTNO also default this value to 1 every time you load a new level, or restart a checkpoint. The only way to bring AF back is to retype it in the console or bind a key which will set AF. To do this you'll have to type this on console:

bind T "vt_maxAniso 8"

where instead of "T" you can choose any button you want. 8 instead of 4 is because the game has to CHANGE AF value to bring back AF, if you type AF 4 nothing will happen. But, 8X AF is also not achievable and the game will default it to 4X AF, so it's pretty safe.

Texture Streaming and Performance. Streaming shouldn't be noticeable if you have constant 60 fps. There are still some console commands and settings we need to exlore.

Max PPF in menu. Lower values make the game stream textures faster but will do it with more iteractions. Optimal value is when you won't see blank textures when making a fast 180 degrees turn. For most PC's it woud be 16 or 32, there is no point in going higher than 64, though a lot of other posters advise that.
VT Cache Size. This settings is essentially texture quality. Keep it as high as the game allows, it won't affect performance, but it provides to biggest visual impact in comparison to other settings.
VT Compress. Always keep this on, unless you have 4 GBs of video Ram. Even then, you'll hardly notice a chagne, except for Ram consuption.
Cache File. If you have an SSD it would be wise to provide the game with cache directory to fasten texture streaming. To do this you have to create this folder: %USERNAME%\AppData\Local\MachineGames\Wolfenstein The New Order
The game will automaticall save 1 GB texture cache there and use SSD advantages, while you keep your 45 GB game on your HDD.
GPU Transcode. I'm not certain, that it works in WTNO the way it worked in RAGE, but for Nvidia users this setting should improve Texture Streaming speed. To turn it on type in console:
vt_useCudaTranscode 1
This setting will be saved and you won't need to reset it again. However, I hardly noticed any difference.
CPU Number Of Threads. If you think your CPU is not very fast and can cause low performance you should reduce this value. You can also increase the value, if your CPU is super High End. The game is really heavy on CPU physics so I personally would recommend setting it higher that default 2. For Low-end CPU the command is
jobs_numOfThreads 1
This setting defaults every time you open a game, so you'll have to keep it in game shortcut like this "+jobs_numOfThreads 1".
AMD Problems. I am not an AMD user, so I haven't explored the problem much, but one thing you need to know is that WTNO is an OpenGL game and AMD Radeon drivers don't like OGL much, so it's mandatory that you turn off Catalyst AI for every OpenGL game you play. Also, idTech 5 is a heavy multi-threaded engine with lots of shared CPU-GPU calculations and over/underclocking any of it can result in visual artifacts, so you need to make sure at least that your GPU is not overclocked.

PS: Shortcut for turning off Intro Videos: +com_skipIntroVideo 1

Most other console commands provided no impact or didn't exist in WTNO anymore (while still being in RAGE). Hope it would help:)

Jogo lindo graficamente. Imagino que deve estar bem capado nos consoles da gen atual, né?

Mas instalar 50gb me cansa só de pensar. To querendo pegar no 360, ja que adiei a compra do One pro ano que vem. Vale pela história/enredo então, Neto?
